The Enchanted Bookshop

A 9-week session that will let students dive deeply into character development skills and scene work whilst playing their part and rehearsing for the final production. They will work together to create “The Enchanted Bookshop”, by having the opportunity to assist with set and costume designs.

Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra presents “Porgy and Bess in Concert”

The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra presents “Porgy and Bess in Concert” featuring the Hilton Head Symphony Chorus at First Presbyterian Church. A story that was set in the 1930s in an African-American Charleston neighborhood known as Catfish Row, Porgy and Bess centers on the tragic love story of the cripple beggar Porgy, the beautiful cocaine addict Bess, and her abusive partner Crown and features such iconic songs as “Summertime,” “It Ain’t Necessarily So” and “I Got Plenty of Nothing.”
